Lancaster's oldest town house, nestled in the shadow of Lancaster Castle. Originally the home of Thomas Covell and later used by judges visiting the Assize Courts, this Grade 1 listed building offers something for all the family.

See the splendidly restored period rooms featuring fine furniture by the renowned Gillows of Lancaster.

Take a journey through history in the Museum of Childhood with our enchanting collection of dolls, toys and games from the 18th century to the present day. Play with traditional Victorian games in our 'hands-on' room and visit our impressive Edwardian schoolroom.
