Bristol's City Museum & Art Gallery

Queen's Road, Bristol, BS8 1RL, England

Bristol’s premier museum and art gallery, this magnificent building houses important collections of minerals and fossils, natural history, eastern art, world wildlife, Egyptology, archaeology and seven galleries of fine and applied art.

The museum has an ever changing programme of temporary exhibitions and an engaging public events programme. The museum shop stocks a wide range of souvenirs and gifts, and the splendid Edwardian-style cafe provides refreshments in magnificent surroundings.

The City Museum & Art Gallery is situated in an Edwardian Baroque building in Queen's Road, next to the Wills University building. It is one of the few Museums to have been awarded Designated status by the Government - the mark of an outstanding museum.

The City Museum & Art Gallery organises an engaging public events programme, including: Workshops, children's holiday activities, family Sunday Fundays, walks, arts and crafts sessions and lectures.
