Bantock House Museum, Wolverhampton

Bantock House Museum, Finchfield Road, Wolverhampton, WV3 9LQ, West Midlands, England

Bantock House, once the home of the Bantock family, allows you to discover the secrets of Wolverhampton’s history. As you wander through the House you can admire our exquisite Decorative Arts collection that includes Enamels, Steel Jewellery and Japanned ware.

Temporary exhibitions take place all year round offering displays in a wide range of subjects.

The ground floor rooms are set in the Edwardian period with Arts and Crafts inspired décor much as the Bantock's would have known. The first floor highlights the trades of Wolverhampton and what life was like during Victorian Wolverhampton through the billiard room and the Victorian Rooms, which give a fascinating insight into Victorian family life and the changing role of women during this period. Here you can see beautiful examples of steel jewellery, japanned ware and enamels.
